Nepal Jail Ministry (NJM) is a compassionate, reform-focused organization dedicated to bringing positive transformation to the lives of prisoners, formerly incarcerated individuals, and their families across Nepal.

We believe that no person is beyond hope. Every individual—regardless of their past—has inherent value, dignity, and the potential to change. Our work is guided by the conviction that prisons should not only be places of punishment, but also spaces for restoration, learning, healing, and new beginnings.

NJM was founded on a simple but powerful belief: mistakes can happen to anyone, but everyone deserves a second chance. With this belief at our core, we work closely with prison authorities, inmates, and their families to understand their real challenges and respond with practical, compassionate solutions.

Inside prisons, we support education, vocational and skill-based training, counseling, and life-skills development that help individuals rebuild confidence and prepare for a better future. Beyond prison walls, we assist with social reintegration, reduce stigma through awareness, and extend care to families—especially children—who are deeply affected by incarceration.
